No open flames: Do not use open flames under any circumstances.
Do not touch electrical switches such as ventilation fans or lights as this may cause the gas to ignite.

After ensuring your own safety, turn off the gas valve.

Even if a big earthquake occurs, don't panic and protect yourself!
In the event of an earthquake equivalent to a seismic intensity of 5 or higher, the gas meter (microcomputer meter) will automatically cut off the gas supply.
If you are using gas appliances, turn them off.
- Do you smell gas around your gas appliances?
- Is there any abnormality such as deformation or damage to the gas appliance?
- Are there any abnormalities such as loosening, dents, or holes in the indoor and outdoor ventilation equipment such as chimneys?
Try opening the main valve and seeing if it ignites.
Please check the instruction manual for your gas appliance for instructions on how to ignite it.
If other gas appliances work, the gas appliance may be broken.

If the red light on the microcomputer meter is flashing, please follow the instructions in "How to reset the microcomputer meter" to reset it.
This is dangerous as it can cause carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning.

The microcomputer meter will shut off the gas in the following cases:
- Big earthquake
- Large gas leak
- Gas pressure drop
- Long-term use of the device
- If you smell gas, do not try to reset the gas supply and contact Saibu Gas immediately.
- Turn off all gas appliances.
- Turn the reset button cap to the left by hand.
- Press the reset button all the way in and release it as soon as the indicator light comes on.
(The reset button will return and the red lamp will flash again. Then, put the cap back on.)
- Please wait approximately 3 minutes.
Please do not use gas during this time. After 3 minutes have passed, check your gas meter again. If the flashing red light has stopped, you can use gas again.
