Apply for Kyuden Gas

  • No "gas installation" required! (Note 1)

  • Your gas appliances will stay the same!
  1. Due to a change in your electricity Rate Plan, you may need to have your electricity meter replaced.
  2. Please note that depending on the terms of your contract with the gas company, you may be charged a penalty.
  3. We will handle the cancellation procedures with your current gas company.

Step 1: Prepare your application

Please have the following items ready:

  1. Documents that show the details of your current gas contract, such as a "Gas Usage Notice" from your gas company
     
  2. Documents that show the details of your current contract with Kyushu Electric Power, such as your "Notice of Electricity Usage"
     
  3. "Bankbook" or "credit card" used to pay gas bills

You will need your "Electric supply ID number" and "Customer number."

Step 2: Application

You can apply online or by phone. There is no need to cancel your current contract with your gas company, as we will handle the cancellation process for you.

  • The following customers must apply by phone:
    ・Customers who currently have an electricity contract with a company other than Kyushu Electric Power and wish to apply for gas only
    ・Customers using gas floor heating or gas fan heaters (you can apply to stop using these appliances when moving)

Step 3: Sign a contract and start using the service

After you apply, we will carry out the switching procedures with the gas company (including canceling the previous contract). After the procedures are completed, Kyushu Electric Power 's gas will be supplied from the "day after Meter reading date."

Please check the start date of use in the "Notice of Contract Details" (written notice) sent to you by mail.
